My spouse has been experiencing this for over a year and is getting worse. He went to the Shasta Hospital ER back in March of 2010 he was experiencing severe abdominal pain on the left side. Tests were done and all that they found was fatty infiltration to the liver and fluid in the abdomen (ascites). Was told not serious and no idea as to what is causing the pain. Since this time he has lost weight and muscle tone. When he gets an attack he says it feels like broken glass moving through his intestines and feels like it is ripping. He is know also experiencing pain on the right side as well and very bloated. His skin color as not good, experiencing vision problems, leg cramps and he honestly sais he feels like he is literally dying. Please help? April
